Technician Document Hub

This group contains documents, forms, templates and checklists as well as all of the study guides for our RACE approved CE courses. Need a checklist on blood cross matching? We've got that. Need a home diabetic monitoring form for your favorite client? We've got that too. Our goal is to continuously share best in class resources that you need to do your job well, and keep you from wasting time reinventing the wheel.

Tech Coffee Talk

Tech Coffee Talk is a forum for veterinary technicians and assistants to ask advice from our experts and your colleagues, vent (appropriately), gain professional development opportunities and network. We encourage subscribers to keep things anonymous if they wish to discuss work-specific things. The forum is moderated, so posts may be rejected if they are deemed inappropriate. Let the problem solving commence!

Ask the Dermatologist

Curated by Candace Sousa, DVM, DABVP, DACVD, the mission of this group is to allow individuals to post cases for discussion. Candace will provide guidance, post hypothetical cases so that you can quiz yourself and learn more about dermatology, and provide you interesting articles with current information about dermatology topics.

The goal of these training courses is to provide you with the tools and skills you need to advocate for your clients and patients and to provide them with an all-star, consistent experience every time.

Tech Case Rounds

IGNITE Chief of Nursing, David Liss, poses challenging cases twice weekly on Tech Case Rounds. David posts both basic and VTS level cases to meet the needs of all audiences. Cases are posted in standard format (signalment, presenting complaint, initial treatment, diagnostics, further treatment). You have the ability to post your own cases and receive feedback from our experts and technicians across the nation, too.

My K9 Behaves

The mission of this group is to keep every dog in his or her home by dramatically reducing the number of dogs abandoned, surrendered, or euthanized every year due to behavioral issues. Ask our Behaviorist, Donna Chandler, any questions you have surrounding dog behavior.

Not your Grandma's Classroom

IGNITE's curriculum for Technicians has been designed for real life in a veterinary hospital in 2019. We embrace problems that Technicians face everyday and invite them to think differently to become more talented at their craft and support their practice's success.

IGNITE's learning videos are funny and informative, which makes for sticky learning.

Another element to IGNITE's unique learning is the mouse-on activities. Technicians are asked to match, drag-n-drop, and actively participate in each module.

IGNITE's RACE Approved CE Courses

RACE approved courses available to IGNITE Technician subscribers includes topics such as CPR, fluid therapy basics, ECG interpretation, management of congestive heart failure, and more.

Hear From Our Members

Sophie Buie - Practice Manager, Animal Medical Clinic

Our leadership team made a goal at our annual meeting to implement monthly IGNITE CE for each Vet Tech. My lead Vet Tech really pushed for that extra training for her team and IGNITE was the perfect place for that.

I also use IGNITE in our monthly staff meetings, and our individual monthly department meetings. We pinpoint an area we are struggling in, or have more opportunity to improve in, and find a training video on IGNITE that can help us. It is really nice for them to hear someone other than me and get another perspective on an issue.

Brittany Huber - Technician, Animal Medical Clinic

IGNITE's Technician subscription is such an amazing tool for the Technicians in my hospital. Our manager utilizes this tool by requiring us to watch a minimum of one video per month. We typically choose a topic based on the cases our clinic has seen recently, and use it as a learning opportunity to learn more about a real case that we had recently had experience with. This helps us to further understand the treatments and recommendations for those pets, as well as explain them to concerned owners. It has been an amazing tool to have access to!
